In order to keep the village powered, a methane plant is set up which is powered by the sewage produced by the residents, and due to the increasing size of the village, the residents had to resort to more "waste production" on their end...which means eating and pooping, a LOT. Haru, our protagonist here, is a Kirin who is a newcomer to this village, having decided that life is dreary and tough in the cities and yearns for a simple life on the countryside, even if it's only 14 days of paid leave long. While that is his main motivation to taking a tour to the village, he has another (and well kept secret) to move to this village: to satisfy on his scatty indulgences.
