CONTEXT & DISCLAIMER:
For as long as I can , I've always loved superheroes and - despite being a casual fan of the medium at best - have been wanting to create my own superhero comic book company since I was in middle school!
The problem is that, being someone diagnosed with ADHD and Asperger's - I can't draw for shit and am not a natural storyteller. My comfort zone lies more in the area of things like world building, setup, lore, ideas and concepts; it explains why a large percentage of the chapters on here (and all my stories in general) are pretty much just the intro and little else. I have the vision but lack the skills and am more interested & comfortable in seeing what art (the quality of which isn't really important) other people can create with the canvas and tools that I have given them!
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, I suck and your help would be greatly appreciated!
It's not solely about me though. This is YOUR story as much as it is mine! You have the complete freedom to create your own characters and solo titles! The only thing that I ask is that you stick to the overall guidelines.

WHAT KIND OF SUPERHERO UNIVERSE IS THIS?
Now don't get me wrong, I like Marvel, but I've always been more of a DC guy, and my vision for Vixen Comics is similar to that of DC's approach to superhero storytelling: A modern myth set in a world where hope shines even in the darkest of times and is populated by heroes that are intended more to be larger-than-life aspirational symbols and archetypes rather than relatable. A world public domain heroes from the past fight alongside original modern day heroes created by you & me!
It's a world where magick, the supernatural, alternate dimensions, aliens, cosmic beings, kaijus, cryptids, Lovecraftian eldritch horrors beyond our comprehension, etc. are all real and for the most part everyone just's accepts it and goes on with their lives as normal. A world where all religions are right and almost every myth & legend that's ever been written or ed down throughout world history has actually happened!
Also, the civilians of Vixen treat superhero-villain fights a lot like WWE events and don't blame the hero for the large scale **** and destruction after the fight is over cause they're not ungrateful idiots like the civilians of Marvel as they understand that all this was primarily the villain's fault, and because the hero defeated said villain, that's all that really matters. Also, these fights are so common that the world has adjusted accordingly.
Same thing goes for the vast majority of world governments who view these costumed vigilantes as their champions, saviors and symbols of national pride, rather than possible threats and weapons who need to be leashed.
Obviously there's room for nuance but that's my main goal for this world overall.
WHAT IS THE ENDGAME HERE?
There is none. Like with Marvel and DC, Vixen Comics is designed with the intention of going indefinitely! The only way this story ends is if CHYOA itself permanently crashes.

THE WORLD OF VIXEN

This allows you greater freedom to tell stories set in cities and countries that don't exist on our Earth. These locations can either be of your own creation or from the public domain.
Also, the Moon in this world is roughly the same size as Mercury. Not only that, but it also has a slightly greater elliptical orbit. In our world, the Moon's closest point is approx. 225,623 miles, in this world it's approx. 119,000 miles!
Realistically, the Moon getting 2x closer to Earth would be catastrophic. But because this is taking place in a fictional comic book universe, it's really just an excuse to justify potential artists drawing classic shots like this as gigantic, overwhelming moons are a staple of comic book art, used to create dramatic framing, gothic atmosphere, a sense of isolation, etc.
The only times the Moon poses any real threat to Earth & humanity, it's because of either supervillains or aliens.
With the exception of New Zealand and Lemuria, this is a pretty accurate world map of the Vixen Earth. Also, see that island near Mu? That's Oz!
Mu is essentially Skull Island from the 2005 'King Kong'.

And Vixen Comics is no exception as its ultimate champion, symbol of hope, empathy, and moral authority; the one who represents the ultimate ideal that all other superheroes - whether they be demihumans or regular humans - strive to achieve is none other than the one, the only, the original, CAPTAIN MARVEL! Who in this universe is called [The Marvelous] CAPTAIN THUNDER due to rights reasons.
(It goes without saying that anyone who's interested about working on the Captain Thunder solo title can only use the original Fawcett-era comics [Whiz Comics, Captain Marvel Adventures, and Master Comics] to mine source material from as I don't want this story to get fake-sued by DC)

Ever since being chosen by the wizard Fawcett Whizz Mazaash (who's last name is the magick word that Billy uses to wield the magick lightning against his enemies without having to worry about it accidentally changing him back if used against him like what happened in that one episode of 'Justice League: Unlimited'. However, if he does overdo it and gets hit, he'll be knocked out a/or significantly depowered for a good couple minutes) in February 1940 to become the Worlds Mightiest Mortal and usher in a Golden Age of superheroism, 14-year-old Billy Batson/Captain Thunder (who in this universe hails from Boston) has been an inspiration to humans and heroes everywhere!
When he and the Marvel Clan aren't being the first sons & daughters of New England, he's leading the Defenders of Justice [D.O.J.] aka 'Earth's Mightiest Champions', Vixen's answer to both the Avengers and the Justice League!

DEMIHUMANS
Derived from demigod, a demihuman is a human being with superpowers; either thanks to possessing a D-Gene - an extremely rare and somewhat sentient genetic mutation that (unless disturbed) will only activate when "it's time", or the traditional way (magick, chemistry, gamma radiation, etc.). Not everyone gains superpowers the traditional way however as it only works if it was according to His plan.
While it varies, Demis in Vixen are generally viewed positively by regular humans (similar to how Metahumans are viewed in DC) rather than being viewed with the vile skepticism, fear and hatred experienced by the Mutants of the Marvel Universe.
Heroes and to a lesser extent, demihumans have been around for thousands of years, but the Age of Demihumans and by extension superheroes, began on September 7, 1902 in Chicago with Hugo Hercules - the first superhero, who's D-gene activation allowed him to stop a falling safe from crushing a woman's head.
"M...My hero! My....SUPERHERO!"
The woman cried in adulation, which was overheard by a reporter for the Chicago Tribune, who when he told his boss (who was basically J. Jonah Jameson but with an Edwardian mustache & facial hair) the boss said...
"Superhero?!"

"I LIKE IT! It's got both spunk AND moxie! Put it in the headline!"
To which he did and the rest is history.
It's important to clarify that you don't need superpowers to be considered a superhero.
Speedsters and the Kinetic Furnace
Similar to the Speed **** of D.C. Comics, the Speedsters of the Vixenverse are able to run really fast by taping into a cosmic energy source called The Kinetic Furnace.
LEGACY: HONORING WHAT CAME BEFORE
Along with characters of your own creation, Vixen is also the place where long forgotten heroes from the Platinum, Golden and Silver Age (along with any classic fictional heroes who's story aren't protected by copyright in general) are rescued from public domain obscurity and given new life!

Because time - to a certain degree - is allowed to be more fluid in comic books, most of these heroes are still alive in the modern day. Some being old and retired (a few being able to the mantle down to characters of your own creation) while others are still young and active, barely aging a day since their initial debut (and no, the aging thing will rarely - if ever - be acknowledged or explained).
Like in D.C., the Golden Age (along with the other two) heroes of Vixen are respected & revered, viewed by both civilians and modern day superheroes (sometimes referred to in-universe as the Bronze Age) as icons as well as the measuring stick by which all current day superheroes are judged!

THE GOLDEN RULES

- Despite CHYOA being an 18+ porn site, I'm treating this Story as if it's a legit comic book company. And like the majority of comic companies, Vixen's primary demographic are those who primarily fall into the 13-29 age group. Also, the gender demographics for comics are primarily 63% male and 37% female. So when writing, pretend that you're writing for an intended target audience mostly made up of children, pre-teens, teens, and young adults.
- NO LICENSED OR COPYRIGHTED CHARACTERS! You can ONLY use that which is either "completely original" [wink] or in the public domain!

ACME
While there are many evil corporations in the world of Vixen, no name pops up more frequently than the U.S.-based global conglomerate of ACME, which in this universe is essentially an amalgamation of DC's LexCorp, Marvel's OsCorp and Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation!
If you're wondering why they and their many subsidiaries haven't been - and will never fully be - caught yet (aside from the fact that this is a comic book universe) is cause they're great at capitalism (do you really think they would've lasted this long if some of the services and products they provided to the general public weren't top notch, somewhat beneficial and decently priced? Come on, they're evil, not stupid!), ****, silencing whistleblowers, and have some of the best lawyers, lobbyists and PR team on the planet! Also, if plausibility deniability was an Olympic sport, they'd be gold medalists!
It also helps that their current president & CEO - ALABASTER DREDD, looks like this. Personality wise, Alabaster is somewhat of an amalgamation of Lex Luthor, Patrick Bateman, Albert Wesker and Nicolae Carpathia; not that he is the anti-Christ but definitely has similar ambitions.
He also plays the role of a certain real-life supervillain. Though if the two ever met, he would be so absolutely disgusted and horrified that he and all the other supervillains would come together to massacre both him and everyone else on that island!

BRITAIN IS AN ORWELLIAN HELLHOLE
But enough about real-life.
In this reality, Britain is in an even more dire state as at some point in this universes recent past, Labour went full mask off, changing the country's name with the approval of King Charles III from the United Kingdom (U.K.) to the Union of Sovereign Socialist Kingdoms (USSK). They then established de facto one party rule, sparing some parties like Reform who were already controlled opposition to begin with in order to maintain the illusion of choice while completely purging parties like Restore who were genuine threats and putting their leaders heads on pikes just in case the message wasn't clear enough. To put it simply, while the rest of the world is going on as normal, the people of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are currently living in 'V for Vendetta' with the only major difference being that instead of a Fascist dystopia, it's a Communist dystopia, ruled with an iron fist by a king who had already lost his Divine Mandate LOOONG before he took the throne and by two-tier comrade Keir who - with the consent & approval of the party - has abolished term limits and declared himself Prime Minister for life!
England is the only country in Vixen where the government as a whole are explicitly written to be the bad guys.
THE GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS WORKING ALONGSIDE SUPERHEROES TO S.H.I.E.L.D. THE WORLD FROM EVIL
'The Special Agency Dedicated to Neutralizing Unique Threats to the American Homeland' (shortened to just S.A.N.T.A.* for simplicity and so that Ben Franklin could get his "****" on Santa Claus for turning him into a turkey after catching him with his wife) is Vixen's primary equivalent to Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.
S.A.N.T.A. was founded in the aftermath of Britain's victory over the Hell-Squids in the 1898 Anglo-Martian War. The former by Benjamin Franklin, who in this universe is still alive due to gaining the superpower of immortality after getting struck by lightning. The lightning also gave him electrokinesis and god-like levels of rizz.
In this universe however, Dir. Franklin looks something like this...
Meaning that in this universe, one of our most important Founding Fathers is an immortal 18th-century sex god with the same powers as Electro from 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', but trapped inside the body of a - very dapper-looking - talking poultry!
If he's the Nick Fury, then someones gotta be the Maria Hill. And that someone is Deputy Director, Elizabeth Carter; who, despite looking the way she does, is in fact a 100% reformed supervillainess trying her best to make up for the mistakes of her past.
