Is it good enough?
Of course!
The next morning, Jorella managed to gather three leads to tie around the necks of her new slave girls. She didn't exactly pay for them, as she had no coin to speak of, but she was sure her new performance troop would rake those in. Sally and Silvia were behind her pulling the wagon full of her elven silk like horses, walking on hands and knees and holding their ropes with their teeth. In all truthfulness, Jorella would have been fine with them carrying them in their hands and walking upright like normal people, but Hilda had insisted they remain as work horses, and the others seemed too smitten with her to disagree.
For her part, Hilda was crawling alongside Jorella, looking up at her like a happy puppy excited for an adventure. It baffled the merchant how this poor woman had two other women fighting so hard for her affection that they'd literally degrade themselves as slaves to be near her, but it was making her job easier. And she certainly needed that at the moment.
Jorella cringed as she walked across the dirt road of the countryside. It had slipped her mind that giving up all her clothes except for the elven silk meant she'd be without shoes, and the filthy ground under her feet reminded her too much of her time back on the farm. It had yet to hit her that she was technically poorer now than she ever was as a peasant girl; after all, great fortune was just around the corner with her stock of materials and her newly contracted entertainers. Besides, at least she wasn't naked like the women under her employ.
Sally and Silvia interchanged between keeping their eyes focused on Hilda's beautiful backside in front of them and shooting each other dirty looks. Well, Sally assumed what she was seeing from Silvia were dirty looks; it was hard to tell without her glasses, which were still lying somewhere in the muddy stable in Pilla. That hadn't been her wisest decision, but the heat of the moment tended to make a person do unwise things. At least perfect eyesight wasn't necessary for the tasks Jorella had for her, or for what she wanted to do with her mistress now that they were together again.
Speaking of, the dark elf that Hilda had arrived with clearly had similar feelings toward her that Sally did. Their interactions over the past day were just shy of open hostility, though Hilda remained none the wiser. It frustrated Sally greatly; she'd known Hilda for way longer than this simple drow wench had, and still she wanted to stake some kind of claim over her? Did she even know who Hilda was?
Silvia was having her own jealous thoughts about Sally as well. This woman had apparently abandoned Hilda in her time of need when she'd lost everything, and now she thought she could just march back into the woman's life like that hadn't happened? After everything Silvia had been through with her, she thought she had earned a little more stake in her life, and she wasn't gonna let it slip away.
Hilda had no idea of the fight brewing just behind her, and was simply glad to finally be of use to a mistress who wanted her. She felt like she was finally back on track to getting her life together, though she was the only one who felt that way in their little party.
The many thoughts brewing in our girls' heads had to come crashing together eventually, though, and later that night...
