What's next?

Rachel Smith, temptress

Hannah’s throat goes dry. The hydrochloric acid fumes sting her eyes—or maybe it’s the way Katie’s lower lip quivers, still slightly swollen from Rachel, The memory flashes unbidden: Rachel’s hand tangled in Katie’s hair, the wet sound of their mouths moving together. “I saw,” Hannah its, her voice rough. The beaker trembles in her grip. Katie exhales sharply, her shoulders slumping. “It just… happened.” A lie. They both know Rachel doesn’t let things just happen. Across the lab, someone giggles—a sharp, familiar sound.

Emily’s laughter cuts through the lab like a knife, drawing both Hannah and Katie’s attention. She leans against a workstation nearby, twirling a strand of hair around her finger, her gaze flickering between them with undisguised amusement. "Awkward," she sing-songs under her breath, just loud enough for them to hear. Katie flinches, her face flushing scarlet, and Hannah’s grip tightens on the beaker until her knuckles ache. The hydrochloric acid fumes burn her nostrils, but it’s nothing compared to the heat crawling up her neck. "It’s none of your business, Emily," Hannah snaps, louder than she intends. A few heads turn in their direction.Emily’s smirk widens at Hannah’s outburst. "Oooh, touchy," she purrs, arching a brow. "Someone’s jealous." Katie’s breath hitches, her eyes darting to Hannah—searching. Before Hannah can retort, Mr. Langley clears his throat. "Ladies, focus on your experiments, not your drama." His tone leaves no room for argument. Emily rolls her eyes but saunters back to her station, though her gaze lingers, hungry for more. Katie exhales shakily, her fingers twitching toward Hannah’s sleeve before pulling back.

As she es Katie’s desk, she leans in, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "I’m meeting her after class myself," she murmurs, just loud enough for Hannah to catch. Katie’s face pales. Emily returns to her seat with a flick of her hair, leaving silence thick enough to **** on.The bell rings, sharp and jarring, snapping the tension like a thread. Katie jerks upright, her chair scraping against the floor as she scrambles to gather her things. Hannah watches her, the way her hands shake as she shoves her notebook into her bag—too fast, too frantic. Emily is already at the door, tossing a smirk over her shoulder before disappearing into the hall. Katie hesitates, her eyes flicking to Hannah—something unspoken caught between them—before she bolts after her. Hannah’s fingers curl into fists. The scent of Rachel’s perfume still clings to the air.

Hannah’s pulse thrums in her ears as she slams her textbook shut, the sound lost in the chatter of students filing out of the lab. The scent of Rachel’s perfume lingers, taunting her, and she moves without thinking—shouldering past classmates until she bursts into the hallway. The corridor is thick with bodies, but she spots Katie’s retreating form, Emily’s predatory stride just ahead of her. And then—there. Rachel leans against the lockers, all lazy grace and knowing smiles, her fingers drumming against the metal as she watches the scene unfold.Rachel’s lips curl into a slow, feline smile as she pushes off the lockers. "I didn’t expect you, Emily," she purrs, voice dripping with amusement, "but Katie…" Her gaze drags over Katie like a physical touch, and Katie mews—a soft, involuntary sound that makes Hannah’s stomach clench. "Always good to see you." Katie sways on her feet, caught between fleeing and stepping closer. Emily’s smirk falters for a fraction of a second before she recovers, tossing her hair. "We had plans, ?" she says, but her voice lacks its usual bite. Rachel’s laugh is low, deliberate.

"We did, well then... let's go." Rachel's fingers curl around Emily's wrist, pulling her closer with practiced ease. "You coming, Katie?" Katie's breath stutters, her gaze darting between them before landing helplessly on Hannah—still frozen halfway down the hall. The plea in her eyes is raw, unmistakable. Rachel notices. Of course she does. Her smirk deepens as she releases Emily just long enough to crook a finger at Katie. "Unless you'd rather stay here... with her?" The last word drips with false innocence, but the challenge is clear. Emily scoffs, rolling her eyes.

Katie takes a half-step toward Rachel—then stops. Her chest rises and falls too fast, her lips parted like she wants to speak but can’t find the words. Rachel tilts her head, waiting. Emily huffs, grabbing Rachel’s arm possessively. "Come on," she whines, but Rachel doesn’t move. Her eyes stay locked on Katie, on the way her fingers twist in the hem of her shirt. Hannah can’t breathe. Something doesn't feel right about all this as she watches.

Hannah’s nails bite into her palms as she watches Katie sway between them—Rachel’s predatory stillness, Emily’s impatient tugging, the fluorescent lights casting sharp shadows across their faces. The hallway noise fades to a dull roar in her ears. Then Katie moves—her sneaker squeaking against the linoleum as she walks away from them. Rachel’s smile doesn’t falter, but her fingers twitch, curling into loose fists at her sides. "Boring," she sighs, turning to Emily with exaggerated indifference. "Guess it’s just us." Katie stumbles into Hannah’s space before she can react, her shoulder knocking against Hannah’s chest.

Katie- rachel..theirs something off with her, and I. I'm attracted to her for somereason Hannah, but going felt wrong, like if i did, I wouldn't be me anymore in long run..i..I cant explain it.The moment Katie collides with her, Hannah catches the scent of Rachel’s perfume clinging to her—something expensive and suffocating, like crushed orchids. Katie’s fingers dig into Hannah’s sleeve, trembling. "She—she does something," Katie gasps, voice cracking. "Like when she touches you, it’s not just—" She cuts herself off, shuddering. Down the hall, Rachel’s laughter rings out, sharp as shattered glass. Hannah doesn’t realize she’s moving until her sneakers slap against the linoleum, chasing the sound. She rounds the corner just in time to see Rachel press Emily against the lockers, one hand caging her in., shes staring deeply into Emily’s eyes.

Hannah’s breath catches in her throat as Rachel’s fingers trail down Emily’s cheek—too slow, too deliberate. Emily’s usual smirk is gone, replaced by something dazed, her pupils blown wide. "You’re so pretty when you’re quiet," Rachel murmurs, tilting Emily’s chin up. Her thumb brushes Emily’s bottom lip, and Emily shudders, a whimper escaping her.Hannah’s stomach twists as Rachel’s fingers hook into the collar of Emily’s blouse, tugging it down with deliberate slowness. The fabric parts, exposing the swell of Emily’s breasts—pale skin flushed under the fluorescent lights. A gasp lodges in Hannah’s throat, but she can’t look away. Emily doesn’t resist. Her head lolls back against the locker, lips parted, breath coming in shallow hitches.

Hannah’s pulse hammers in her ears as Rachel steps back just enough to unbutton her own shirt with deliberate, teasing slowness. The fabric falls open, revealing smooth skin and the lace edge of a black bra—expensive, delicate, designed to draw the eye. Emily whimpers, her fingers twitching like she wants to reach out but can’t. Rachel smirks, dragging a fingertip along the curve of her own breast, watching Emily’s gaze follow the movement with hypnotized hunger. "See something you like?" Rachel purrs, arching into her own touch. Hannah’s stomach lurches.

Rachel’s hands slide behind her back with practiced ease, the clasp of her bra giving way with a soft snap. The black lace slithers down her arms, pooling at her elbows before she lets it drop to the floor. Emily makes a choked sound, her knees buckling slightly as Rachel closes the distance between them. “Shh,” Rachel murmurs against Emily’s lips before claiming them in a deep, consuming kiss. Her bare chest presses flush against Emily’s, Rachel's skin cool to the touch.

"I told you something was off," whispers Katie, her voice shaking as she grips Hannah’s arm. Hannah didn't even notice Katie followed her. She can’t tear her eyes away from the scene—Rachel’s bare skin pressed against Emily’s, the way Emily melts into her like she’s been drained of all resistance. There’s something wrong here, something deeper than just attraction. Then Rachel’s head turns—just slightly—and her eyes lock onto Hannah’s through the dim hallway. A slow, knowing smile curls her lips, as if she’d sensed them watching the whole time. Hannah’s blood runs cold.

Hannah’s breath hitches as Rachel’s fingers tighten against Emily’s throat—not enough to hurt, just enough to make Emily’s lips part in a silent gasp. “Run,” Katie whimpers, yanking Hannah backward. But Rachel’s voice stops them cold. “Leaving so soon?” Her words drip like honey, syrupy and slow, but there’s something beneath them—something that makes the hair on Hannah’s arms stand on end.
