Fleeing Again

"Malphiel, grab Saffiel and get her out of here. I'll follow behind!" Take yells as she fires a **** lance at the Nephilim at the same time as it leaps. The blow hits and knocks it backwards. It lands on the ground with an annoyed screech as it scrambles back to it's feet.

Malphiel picks up Saffiel, throwing her over her shoulder and turning to run. Take hits the Nephilim again as it gets up, but this time it smacks the lance aside and leaps at her. Take dodges to the side, but the Nephilim is faster than she expected and it's arm swings out, she feels it impact against her side and she's knocked towards the top of the hill. She lands with a cry of pain as the Nephilim barrels towards her. She rolls back to her feet and dives aside, this time turning and batting away the swing of it's hand as she staggers back from it. It grins at her, drool leaking out of it's mouth as it stares at her. She's breathing heavy and her ribs are sore on both sides. She holds her Ninjato at the ready, glancing over to see if Malphiel is gone yet. Seeing that she is Take turns her attention back to the Nephilim and then vanishes as she cloaks. The Nephilim roars and charges at the spot she was as Take, invisible runs down the hill, the pain in her ribs getting worse as she exerts herself.

The Nephilim flails at where she was and then raises it's head and begins to sniff the air and seems to find her. It barrels down the hill after her. It crashes into her from behind and she is knocked off her feet and tumbles painfully down the hill, turning visible and the Nephilim chases her down the hill. She lands at the bottom of the hill and starts to run. "I just... Need to reach the temporal barrier..." Take mumbles as she runs, the Nephilim chasing her. It's close behind her and for a moment she wonders if she'll end up dying here. Would this creature **** her like it did those demons earlier.

To her relief however she feels herself hit the barrier. Time shifts and she drops to her knees in the demonic encampment. Malphiel is here waiting for her, Saffiel still on her shoulder. She offers Take her hand and Take gratefully takes it, standing up and Malphiel carries Saffiel and lets Take lean on her as they start to head back to the Angelic Encampment.

They arrive back at the Angelic Encampment. It's still under attack. The demons and angels still fighting. Nagi greets the three women, "Seems like you had a bad time, but I can tell you succeeded," she says happily.
